The Powai police have registered an FIR against Hiranandani Developers for alleged illegal excavation near the Hiranandani helipad. The excavation was carried out without the necessary permissions, as per a complaint by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The main issue is the illegal excavation of soil near the Hiranandani helipad in Powai, which was carried out without the necessary permissions from the authority concerned.
Hiranandani Developers was booked under Sections 52 (unauthorised development or use of land) and 43 (restriction on development and land use changes without permission) of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act.
A journalist initially reported the illegal excavation to the Ghatkopar police, who then informed the BMC.
The BMC issued a notice to Hiranandani Developers under Section 354A of the BMC Act, which mandates the cessation of any unlawful construction or work.
Developers are required to apply for permission for excavation within 24 hours of commencing the work. Hiranandani Developers failed to do so, leading to the filing of the complaint.
