Godrej Industries Sees 81% Jump in Q1 Profit to Rs 322 Crore
Real Estate News:Godrej Industries Ltd, a leading business conglomerate, has announced its Q1 results for the fiscal year 2024-25, reporting an impressive 81% increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 322.49 crore. The company's net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The significant jump in profit can be attributed to the company's higher income, which increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25, compared to Rs 4,893.40 crore in the same period of the previous year.

Godrej Industries has a diverse presence across various sectors, including chemicals, estate management (real estate), finance, and investments. The company's subsidiaries, joint ventures, and associate companies have also performed well during the quarter.

Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL), one of the company's subsidiaries, reported consolidated sales of Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal. Godrej Properties, another subsidiary, saw its total income grow to Rs 1,638 crore in the April-June period of this fiscal, up from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

However, Godrej Agrovet's total income declined to Rs 2,360 crore in the period under review, compared to Rs 2,522 crore a year ago. On the other hand, the revenue of the chemicals business rose to Rs 732 crore from Rs 726 crore.

According to the investor presentation, Godrej Industries has a significant stake in its subsidiaries, including 23.7% in GCPL, 47.3% in Godrej Properties, 64.9% in Godrej Agrovet, and 89.8% in Godrej Capital.
