The brake van of the goods train derailed near Monkey Hill, a halt station in the mountainous Bhor Ghat stretch, at around 4 pm, said the CR's chief public relations officer Swapnil Nile.

“There are no reports of anyone getting injured,” Nile said, adding that more details were awaited. According to CR, the derailment happened on the down middle line, with two lines still in operation, thus train movement is not much affected in the section.
