The deadline was extended to allow taxpayers in Maharashtra and Jharkhand to participate in the legislative assembly elections without overlapping their tax responsibilities.
The new deadline for GSTR-3B returns for October 2024 is November 21, 2024.
CBIC stands for Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, a body under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, responsible for the administration of various indirect taxes, including GST.
Taxpayers can file their GSTR-3B returns through the official GST portal, which provides a user-friendly interface and support to help them complete the process smoothly.
