NEW DELHI, Dec 19: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel recently urged real estate developers to invest in the state, emphasizing the vast business opportunities and the efficient, time-bound permission processes for projects.
He noted that Gujarat has emerged as the best destination for real estate activities and serves as a role model for well-planned urban development. Addressing the national conclave of CREDAI, the apex body for real estate developers, Patel encouraged real estate players to explore business opportunities at GIFT City and the upcoming Dholera Industrial City in Gujarat.
Patel emphasized the importance of environmentally friendly projects and stressed that the real estate sector will play a crucial role in realizing the Prime Minister's vision of making India a developed nation by 2047. He called for collaboration between the government and the real estate industry to achieve the goal of 'Housing for All'.
The Chief Minister also urged developers to incorporate India's rich heritage into their projects, even while taking inspiration from modern construction technologies. 'Real estate players should focus on sustainable development,' he said, adding that the construction of homes, offices, and malls should be environmentally friendly.
Patel highlighted that Gujarat has a single-window clearance system for project approvals, ensuring a time-bound process. Land records in the state are fully digitized, making it easier for developers to navigate the regulatory landscape. 'We have determined fixed timelines for giving all necessary approvals for real estate development. Therefore, all top developers of the country are ready to invest in Gujarat,' Patel remarked.
The state is also promoting green buildings and renewable energy projects, further enhancing its appeal to environmentally conscious investors. Gujarat has become the best destination for real estate development, and Patel urged realtors to explore business opportunities at GIFT City near Ahmedabad and the upcoming Dholera Industrial City, which spans 920 square kilometers.
The Chief Minister noted that the state government is investing in infrastructure projects at Dholera, which is becoming a hub for various industries, including semiconductors. He also called on developers to build livable, sustainable, and future-ready projects, aligning with the state's vision for modern, eco-friendly urban development.
