Hyderabad Horror: Businessman Stabbed to Death by Disgruntled Ex-Employee
A 45-year-old real estate businessman, Srikanth Reddy, was brutally stabbed to death in broad daylight at Hyderabad's HB Colony. The attack was allegedly carried out by his former employee, Dhanraj, who was fired for habitual intoxication.

According to police officials, the prime accused in the case is Dhanraj, a resident of Lalapet. Dhanraj had been employed by Srikanth until about 20 days ago. However, Srikanth dismissed him from his job due to repeated complaints of Dhanraj turning up to work intoxicated. “Dhanraj used to come to work drunk and created problems. Unable to tolerate his behavior, Srikanth had to let him go,” said Kushaiguda ACP Y Venkat Reddy.
Despite being fired, Dhanraj allegedly continued to harass Srikanth, pestering him for re-employment. On the day of the incident, Dhanraj visited Srikanth’s office along with his friend, Daniel. The duo demanded Rs 1,200 from Srikanth to buy liquor. Later, around 5:30 pm, they returned to the office, visibly intoxicated, and once again pressed for a job. When Srikanth refused and asked them to return on Tuesday, Dhanraj’s frustration boiled over.
As Srikanth stepped out of his office, Dhanraj and Daniel followed him. “They suddenly attacked Srikanth with a knife. On Dhanraj’s instructions, Daniel stabbed Srikanth to death in the lane in front of his office,” the ACP revealed. The attack was so sudden and brutal that witnesses were left in shock.
After the attack, the two men fled the scene. Locals, who witnessed the gruesome killing, immediately alerted the police. The body was shifted to the hospital for a postmortem, and a case was registered under Section 103(1) (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police have launched a manhunt to trace and arrest the remaining accused.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, raising concerns about public safety and the need for stricter measures to prevent such violent crimes. Local residents have expressed their dismay and demanded swift action from the authorities to ensure justice for the deceased and to prevent similar incidents in the future.
In response to the tragedy, the police have increased patrols in the area and are working closely with the community to gather more information and leads. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are determined to bring the perpetrators to justice.
