Srikanth, a resident of HB Colony, was allegedly attacked by a former employee, Dhanraj of Lalapet, who had been dismissed from his job about 20 days ago. According to Kushaiguda ACP Y Venkat Reddy, Dhanraj had previously caused trouble at work due to his habit of coming to the office intoxicated. Srikanth had terminated his employment for his unprofessional behavior. Despite being dismissed, Dhanraj continued to visit Srikanth’s office repeatedly, pressuring him to reinstate him.

On Friday afternoon, Dhanraj, accompanied by his friend Daniel, met Srikanth at his office and borrowed Rs 1,200 to buy alcohol. After drinking, the two returned to the office around 5.30 pm. Dhanraj demanded a job once again, but Srikanth asked him to return on Tuesday. When Dhanraj persisted, Srikanth decided to leave the office. As he stepped out, the two men followed him.

They suddenly attacked Srikanth with a knife. On Dhanraj’s instructions, Daniel stabbed Srikanth to death in the lane in front of his office, the ACP said. Following the brutal killing, both suspects fled the scene. Locals quickly alerted the police, and the Kushaiguda team arrived at the spot to secure the area and shift the body for postmortem examination.

A case has been registered under Section 103(1) (murder) of the BNS. Authorities have launched a manhunt to apprehend Dhanraj and Daniel, and police are examining CCTV footage and questioning witnesses to track the suspects.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many residents expressing their condolences and calling for swift justice. Real estate businesses in the area have also been on high alert, implementing additional security measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
