IAS Officer Pooja Khedkar Faces Backlash: Pune Police Issues Notice Amidst Harassment Allegations
Real Estate Pune:In a significant development, the Pune police have issued a notice to Probationary IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, requesting her presence to record her statement regarding her harassment complaint against Pune District Collector Suhas Diwase. Khedkar is expected to appear tomorrow to provide her statement.

The controversy surrounding Pooja Khedkar has taken a new turn after she filed a harassment complaint against Pune district collector Suhas Diwase with the Washim police. Following allegations of misusing her authority, trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar was relieved from the District Training Programme of the State Government of Maharashtra on Tuesday.

Pooja Khedkar has been recalled to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Musoorie and her training has been put on hold. The decision was taken after an official statement from Nitin Gadre, Additional Chief Secretary (P).

Meanwhile, Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar blamed the administrative set-up for the trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar controversy. Pawar stated that earlier, there was a dialogue with the administration, but nowadays only directions are given.

Earlier, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Pune initiated an inquiry against Dilip Khedkar, father of Puja Khedkar, to investigate the unaccounted wealth owned by the family. IAS Pooja Khedkar, who secured an All India rank of 821 in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams, has been allegedly accused of abusing her authority.

The Pune Police Commissioner, Amitesh Kumar, said that the police would be examining the car used by the trainee IAS officer under the Motor Vehicles Act. Kumar also stated that the police would be recovering all the pending challans on the car, citing that using a beacon on a private car is a violation of traffic rules.

The controversy has sparked a heated debate about the misuse of authority and the need for administrative reforms. As the investigation unfolds, one thing is certain - the Pune Police are taking a firm stance against any wrongdoing, regardless of the individual's position or rank.
