The Global REIT Alliance is an international coalition dedicated to advancing the Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) sector worldwide. It aims to strengthen REITs as a trusted asset class and expand investment opportunities globally.
The Indian REITs Association is joining the Global REIT Alliance to enhance global awareness of the benefits of securitised real estate, share market perspectives, and collectively drive the growth of REITs globally.
The key objectives include raising global awareness, forging a global network, influencing public policy, guiding standards setting, leading on sustainable investment, and encouraging an informed marketplace.
Ms Preeti Chheda is an Executive Committee Member of the Indian REITs Association and the CFO of Mindspace Business Parks REIT. She attended the launch event of the Global REIT Alliance.
Mr. Peter Verwer welcomed the Indian REITs Association, noting that India’s REIT market has shown remarkable growth and that its inclusion will bring valuable insights to the Alliance, strengthening the global REIT ecosystem.
