Jewar Airport Corridor: A Game-Changer for Nearby Property Markets
As the Jewar International Airport is set to host commercial flights by June 15, the Yamuna Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is building a 15.1-kilometer long and 120-meter wide corridor. Around 8 kilometers of the project have already been constructed, while another 2 kilometers are currently under construction near Sector 22E. The process of land acquisition for the remaining 5.1 kilometers is ongoing, with the consent of the farmers who own the land.
Why is this corridor important? This upcoming corridor is being described as a special access route for traffic bound towards the airport. The Jewar Airport is also being linked through other major projects, including a 31-kilometer greenfield road to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway via Faridabad, an 8-kilometer emergency road, and other proposed links.
The project will directly benefit more than 13 nearby sectors, including 22A, 22B, 22C, 22D, 22E, 22F, 23A, 23B, 23C, 23D, 23E, 24, 24A, and 25.
