Juniper Green Energy Expands Solar Capacity in Maharashtra with 43 MWp Addition
Real Estate Maharashtra:Juniper Green Energy has announced the commissioning of an additional 43 MWp solar capacity at its Wardha site in Maharashtra. This project supplies electricity to the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) through its subsidiary, Juniper Green Power Five Pvt Ltd, according to an official statement.

With this latest addition, the company has completed the full 103 MWp solar segment of its 129 MWp hybrid power project. The solar capacity was developed in two phases—59.55 MWp commissioned on June 6, 2025, followed by 43 MWp on July 14, 2025—reaching full solar output within eight months of signing the power purchase agreement (PPA).

This progress puts the solar portion of the project online nearly 16 months ahead of the original commissioning deadline of November 17, 2026. Ankush Malik, CEO of Juniper Green Energy, noted that this milestone underscores the company’s important role in supporting India’s growing demand for clean energy.

Juniper Green Energy, an independent renewable energy producer in India, is focused on developing, constructing, and operating large-scale solar, wind, and hybrid renewable energy projects. Since its establishment in October 2018, the company has grown its operational capacity to 1.1 GWp.

Juniper is part of the AT Capital Group, a global investment firm based in Singapore with a diverse portfolio in renewable energy, real estate, and hospitality. AT Capital’s presence spans India, the GCC region, Europe, and the United States. In India, the group also manages Experion Developers, a real estate firm, and Experion Capital, an NBFC specializing in financing infrastructure and real estate projects.

This significant expansion in solar capacity not only highlights Juniper Green Energy’s commitment to sustainable development but also reinforces the company’s strategic position in the Indian renewable energy market. As India continues to prioritize clean energy solutions, Juniper Green Energy is well-positioned to play a crucial role in achieving the nation’s renewable energy targets.
