The Katraj-Kondhwa bypass road is expected to be completed by June 2026.
The project has faced delays primarily due to administrative indecision and challenges in land acquisition.
Only 46,456 sq. ft. of the required 94.46 lakh sq. ft. has been acquired so far.
Rs 220 crore has been reallocated from various departments, and the road width has been scaled down from 84 meters to 50 meters to reduce costs and expedite work.
The bypass road will include a grade separator for traffic flow and 300 mm rainwater drainage lines at flood-prone areas to prevent waterlogging during monsoons.
