Kishan Reddy Emphasizes Rapid Infrastructure Growth and 2047 Vision at NAREDCO Show
Real Estate:Union Minister for Coal and Mines, G Kishan Reddy, emphasized the rapid growth of India's infrastructure and real estate sectors under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing the three-day NAREDCO Telangana Property Show at HITEX, Madhapur, Reddy highlighted the significant strides made in modern housing and infrastructure development across Indian cities.

Reddy noted that the real estate sector is currently the fastest-growing sector in the country, supported by the Central Government's strong focus on infrastructure development. He stated, “From Hyderabad to Bombay, Nagpur, Vijayawada, Bangalore, travel has become easier with excellent national highways. Previously, when I went to America, I used to wonder, 'When will such roads come to India?' Today, under the leadership of Modi ji, our roads, railways, airways, and waterways are being developed to a world-class standard.”

Reddy highlighted ongoing greenfield expressway projects connecting major cities like Vijayawada and Nagpur. He mentioned that work is progressing rapidly and will soon become a reality once land acquisition is completed. The government's vision is clear — to make India a developed country by 2047, the centenary of its independence.

“The Prime Minister calls on every citizen and professional to contribute towards this goal. Development in all sectors is happening at a rapid pace, economic activities are increasing, employment generation is on the rise, and India has become the fourth-largest economy in the world,” Reddy said. He also stressed the government's focus on reforms, highlighting the principle of “Reform, Perform, Transform.” “No cabinet decision is taken without ensuring reforms. Every matter brought before the cabinet must include clear proposals for reform,” he added, underlining the systemic approach to India's growth.

Pointing to the economic achievements of the last decade, Reddy said, “Before 2014, India's GDP was about Rs 106 lakh crore. Today, in just eleven years, it has grown to Rs 331 lakh crore. Around 20 crore people have risen above the poverty line due to the effective measures taken by the government.” Reddy also highlighted reforms and expansion in the education and transport sectors, including the expansion of metro rail projects, new universities, skill development centres, and modernized educational infrastructure. These measures are expected to further strengthen India's growth trajectory.

Overall, Reddy's address at the NAREDCO Telangana Property Show underscored the government's commitment to transforming India into a global economic powerhouse by 2047. The focus on infrastructure, real estate, and economic reforms is expected to drive sustained growth and development across the country.
