Real Estate:In a major development for Indian cricket, a private sports facility inspired by the National Cricket Academy (NCA) was unveiled in Kolkata on Tuesday. The facility, created by Shrachi Group, a city-based real estate conglomerate, has appointed former India cricketer Sandeep Patil as its head in a five-year contract. Patil, a former NCA director, has roped in his old team of Dinesh Nanavati,

Gautam Shome, and sports therapist Ashish Kaushik to be part of the venture. The facility, located at the Athlead International School in Joka, will cater to cricketers from the eastern region and north-east and will work in association with the Cricket Association of Bengal. Patil promised that he will make Kolkata his new base and will work for the development of the academy

. The facility will not only serve as the nodal rehab centre for cricketers but will also provide physical and mental training to coaches and rising cricketers. In the future, the academy will cater to all sports, including tennis, football, and basketball, with Leander Paes set to look after tennis and former India goalkeeper Bhaskar Ganguly heading the football academy.
