Real Estate Pune:In a shocking incident, a fourth-year law student from DY Patil Law College in Pimpri, Pune, has alleged that his answer sheet was torn by a professor during an exam. The student, Gaurav Kakade, had sent an email to the principal requesting an additional supplement for writing his answers as the 36-page answer sheet provided was insufficient. However, on the day of the exam, one of the professors allegedly taunted him for sending the email and tore his answer sheet.

The student approached the principal with his grievance, but despite assurances of action, he was forcefully made to admit that he had resorted to unfair practices. Furthermore, when he was allowed to replicate his torn answer sheet on a fresh paper, he was only permitted to fill in his name and roll number.

The student was subsequently summoned by the grievance redressal committee, and a report was filed against him. In response, he has approached the Bombay High Court seeking quashing of the report.

A bench of Justices AS and Rajesh Patil has issued a notice to DY Patil Law College and directed the authorities to preserve the CCTV footage of the exam hall and the principal's cabin, where the alleged incident took place. This move aims to ensure that evidence is preserved and a fair investigation can be conducted.
