Lodha Developers Aims for 20% Market Share in MMR by 2030
Real Estate Pune:Mumbai-based Lodha Developers, a leading real estate developer, is setting ambitious goals for the next decade. According to the company's Q1FY26 investor presentation, Lodha Developers expects to double its market share in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Pune, and Bengaluru by the end of the decade.

The company's projections indicate a substantial rise in market share across these key regions. As of FY24, Lodha Developers held a 10% market share in MMR, which is expected to surge to 20% by the end of the decade. Similarly, the company anticipates its market share in Pune to rise from 5% to 15%, and in Bengaluru from 2% to 12%.

These ambitious targets are backed by strong financial performance. In the April-June period of FY26, Lodha Developers reported a 10% increase in sales bookings, reaching ₹4,450 crore. The company's total income also saw a robust growth, rising to ₹3,624.7 crore in Q1FY26 from ₹2,918.3 crore in the same period last year.

Lodha Developers has a significant footprint in the real estate sector, having delivered 110 million square feet of real estate and currently developing more than 130 million square feet under its ongoing and planned portfolio. The company's expansion plans are not limited to MMR, Pune, and Bengaluru. Managing Director and CEO Abhishek Lodha announced during the Q1FY26 earnings call on July 28 that the company is also looking to enter the Delhi-NCR market.

Lodha Developers aims to conclude one or more land deals in Delhi-NCR this fiscal year, setting the stage for its first project launch in the region in the next financial year. This strategic move is part of the company's broader expansion plans to tap into new markets and diversify its portfolio.

The entry into the Delhi-NCR market will begin with a pilot phase, involving a limited number of projects and a moderate level of investment. This cautious approach is designed to help the company better understand the dynamics of the Delhi-NCR market and build a robust supply chain for operations and sales.

'We expect to enter Delhi NCR in the next 12 months and hope to launch in fiscal 2027. The Delhi NCR is an important market for us to get into. We obviously, as we have done in Pune and Bengaluru, will only enter in a gradual manner. We will be starting off with a pilot phase with a moderate number of projects and a moderate level of investment with a view to understanding better how the market operates and how we build out the supply chain for operations as well as sales,' said Abhishek Lodha during a recent investors’ call.

Lodha Developers' strategic expansion plans are underpinned by a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The company's focus on delivering high-quality projects and a superior customer experience has been a key driver of its success in the real estate sector. As it looks to the future, Lodha Developers is well-positioned to capitalize on the growing demand for residential and commercial real estate in India's key urban centers.

With a clear vision and a well-defined strategy, Lodha Developers is poised to achieve its ambitious market share targets and continue its trajectory of growth and success in the years to come.
