Real Estate:Renowned television and film star Ronit Bose Roy has recently purchased a luxury apartment worth ₹18.94 crore in Versova, Andheri (West). The 4,263 sq ft apartment, situated on the 20th floor of the Versova Project, was registered on June 10, 2024, in the name of Roy and his wife Neelam Ronit Bose Roy. According to the documents, Roy paid a stamp duty of ₹1.13 crore and purchased the flat from Macrotech Developers. The deal also included four parking spaces.

Interestingly, this is not the only big-ticket purchase in the area. Just last week, ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company Ltd acquired 12 floors along with land, and three basements at Kalpataru Infinia situated in Santacruz East for a staggering ₹315 crore. The company purchased the property from Ixora Properties Pvt Ltd, paying a stamp duty of ₹18.90 crore.

According to a recent report by Knight Frank India, Mumbai's residential real estate market is on the rise. The report, titled 'India Real Estate Residential and Office (January - June 2024)', reveals that the city witnessed a 16 per cent year-on-year (YoY) jump in residential unit sales, with 47,259 units sold during this period. However, new launches saw a seven per cent YoY decline, with 46,985 units introduced. Despite this, the average residential prices rose by four per cent YoY over the same period last year.

Mumbai's office market also saw significant growth, with 5.8 million sq ft of office spaces being transacted, resulting in a 79 per cent YoY growth in H1 2024. New office completions in the city were recorded at 4.3 million sq ft, reporting a commendable 205 per cent YoY growth in H1 2024.
