The Shaktipeeth Expressway is designed to span 802 km from Pavnar in Wardha to Patradevi on the Maharashtra–Goa border.
The estimated cost of the Shaktipeeth Expressway project is ₹86,300 crore, with the Maharashtra government allocating ₹20,000 crore for preliminary work.
Key religious and cultural sites along the route include Shaktipeeth shrines at Kolhapur, Dharashiv, and Patradevi, as well as two Jyotirlingas—Aundha Nagnath and Parli Vaijnath—and the revered Pandharpur temple.
Environmental safeguards include dedicated wildlife crossings and noise barriers near sensitive zones to minimize the impact on the environment.
