The Worli BDD Chawl redevelopment project is a large-scale initiative aimed at replacing century-old structures with modern, high-rise buildings. It includes 33 rehabilitation towers, 10 super high-rise sale towers, and a commercial building, providing modern amenities and upgraded infrastructure to residents.
The project is being executed by TCC Construction, a joint venture of Tata Projects and Capacit’e Infraprojects, under the leadership of MHADA (Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority).
Each two-BHK flat in the redeveloped BDD Chawl offers a 500 sq. ft. carpet area, modern amenities, and upgraded infrastructure, including lift access, water supply, and sanitation.
In the first phase of the project, 556 newly redeveloped homes have been handed over to residents.
The project is significant as it represents one of India’s largest public housing transformations, aligning engineering excellence with community upliftment. It aims to improve the living conditions of thousands of residents and promote sustainable urban growth.
