The new cancer treatment centers will be established in Jalna, Ratnagiri, Baramati, Dharashiv, Amravati, and Nashik. Future expansion plans include Nagpur, Gadchiroli, Wardha, Satara, Jalgaon, Bhandara, and Akola.
Radiation oncology centers will be set up in Jalna, Ratnagiri, Baramati, and Dharashiv. Radiotherapy and day care chemotherapy centers will be established in Amravati and Nashik.
The Hospital Services Consultancy Corporation Limited (HSCC Limited) will undertake the construction of these cancer treatment centers in partnership with the public sector.
The primary goal of this initiative is to improve healthcare access by providing free cancer treatment facilities closer to citizens' homes, reducing the financial burden on patients and their families, and ensuring timely and effective treatment.
This initiative addresses the rising number of cancer cases in Maharashtra by expanding cancer treatment facilities to more districts, thereby making quality healthcare more accessible to a larger population.
