The Maharashtra government has allocated ₹5 crore for each of the 23 newly merged areas in the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Uruli Phursungi.

PMC and Uruli Phursungi officials have been directed to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the garbage depot and implement scientific waste management practices, including vermicomposting methods, proper segregation pits, and controlled disposal of waste.
