The main objective of the two corporations is to support the economically weaker sections of the Brahmin and Rajput communities.
Rs 50 crore has been allocated to each corporation.
The cabinet took several other key decisions, including renaming the Lohgaon Airport, inclusion of three Kunbi sub-castes in the Other Backward Classes list, and establishment of a District and Additional Sessions Court at Junnar.
The establishment of these corporations reflects the Maharashtra government's commitment to the welfare and development of all sections of society.
