The Maharashtra Convention Bureau (MCB) is India’s first state-led convention bureau, headquartered in Mumbai. It is aimed at promoting international conferences and exhibitions across key cities in Maharashtra, including Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, and Nagpur.
Launching the MCB at IMEX Frankfurt marks a significant shift in India’s strategy to position itself on the global MICE map. It highlights Maharashtra’s commitment to high-value business tourism and strengthens the visitor economy.
The MCB has already secured major international events such as the 2025 Astronomy Olympiad and the 2026 International Baccalaureate Congress.
The MCB is expected to drive significant job creation, investment, and tourism revenue. It will focus on attracting innovation summits, trade fairs, and leadership conventions, positioning Maharashtra as a key gateway for global business events in South Asia.
The MCB is leveraging advanced infrastructure such as the Jio World Convention Centre and the state’s strong air connectivity and hospitality network to promote international conferences and exhibitions.
