MahaRERA stands for the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority, which is a regulatory body responsible for overseeing and ensuring transparency in the real estate sector in Maharashtra, India.
MahaRERA has introduced revamped project certificates that include comprehensive details about each project in a user-friendly format. The new certificates provide essential preliminary details necessary for informed decision-making by homebuyers.
The new certificates will include the total built-up area of the project, names and number of buildings and wings, total number of habitable floors, count of residential and non-residential units, details from the Commencement Certificate, and the number of parking slots available.
This move is significant for homebuyers because it provides them with comprehensive and transparent information about the projects they are considering, helping them make informed decisions and ensuring their investments are safe and secure.
MahaRERA has made it mandatory for all project advertisements to include a QR code containing key information. When scanned, this code provides quick access to the project’s registration details, making it easier for potential buyers to verify claims made in property ads.
