MahaRERA stands for the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority. It is a regulatory body established to protect the rights of homebuyers and ensure transparency and accountability in the real estate sector in Maharashtra.
The new project registration certificates will include the total built-up area, names and number of buildings and wings, total number of habitable floors, count of residential and non-residential units, details from the Commencement Certificate, number of parking slots, and any updates during the project's lifecycle.
Homebuyers can access the project registration certificate by visiting the construction site where it will be prominently displayed, checking the project's official website, or scanning the QR code in project advertisements.
This move is important for homebuyers because it provides them with comprehensive and transparent information about the project, helping them make informed decisions and ensuring their investments are safe and secure.
MahaRERA has taken several measures to protect homebuyers, including enforcing standardized sales agreements, mandating detailed descriptions of parking dimensions and amenities, and ensuring thorough legal, financial, and technical scrutiny before granting project registration numbers.
