Maharashtra to Receive Monsoon Relief in 8-10 Days
Real Estate Maharashtra:The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that the southwest monsoon is expected to reach Kerala in 24 hours, and subsequently, Maharashtra in 8-10 days. This will bring much-needed relief to the state, which has been experiencing intense heatwaves.

According to IMD Director Sunil Kamble, the temperature in Maharashtra is currently ranging between 38-40 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels reaching 80-90%. This has made the heat feel even more oppressive. However, with the arrival of the monsoon, the temperature is expected to drop, providing relief to the people.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has also taken steps to prepare for the monsoon season. He has asked civic bodies to form their own disaster management teams, which will operate as first responders in situations like landslides or floods.

The IMD has predicted above-normal rainfall this monsoon season, thanks to La Nina conditions. La Nina conditions are expected to set in between August and September, which will lead to an increase in rainfall.

Meanwhile, the heatwave across the country is likely to subside from May 30, with the IMD warning of severe heatwave conditions across northwest India for the next three days.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) is the national meteorological service of India. It is responsible for providing weather forecasts, warnings, and other meteorological services to the country.

The Maharashtra government has been taking proactive steps to prepare for the monsoon season. With the IMD's prediction of above-normal rainfall, the state government is gearing up to tackle any potential disasters that may arise.
