HSRP stands for High Security Registration Plate. These are advanced license plates designed with unique security features such as embedded holograms, tamper-proof screws, and QR codes to enhance vehicle security and reduce the risk of theft.
The home fitment fee is being waived to encourage the installation of HSRP by reducing financial burdens on vehicle owners, particularly for bulk installations by large organizations such as corporate fleets and rental car companies.
The waiver benefits both individual vehicle owners and large organizations managing multiple vehicles. It reduces operational costs and makes the installation process more cost-effective and accessible.
Vehicle owners and fleet managers are advised to contact their nearest HSRP installation center to schedule appointments. The Maharashtra Transport Department has also set up a dedicated helpline to address any queries or concerns related to the installation process.
HSRP includes security features such as embedded holograms, tamper-proof screws, and QR codes. These features help in verifying the authenticity of the plate and the vehicle details, enhancing overall vehicle security and reducing the risk of theft.
