MahaRERA Clears 4,165 Candidates in 5th Real Estate Agents Exam

MahaRERA Clears 4,165 Candidates in 5th Real Estate Agents Exam
Real Estate Maharashtra:The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has declared the results of the 5th edition of the Real Estate Agents examination. Out of the 4,769 candidates, 4,165 have cleared the test, which means having a pass percentage of 87%.

This marks a slight decrease in the passing percentage compared to the previous exams. The passing percentages for the previous four exams stood at 96% (1st), 93% (2nd), 89% (3rd), and 86% (4th).

Of the 4,165 candidates who cleared the latest edition of the exam, there are 3,553 males and 612 females. Notably, 196 of these qualified real estate agents are senior citizens, with 12 of them being women. Sharad Mota from Mumbai and Divyesh Maheshwari from Pune jointly share the top rank, having scored 100% marks.

The total number of MahaRERA certified real estate agents in Maharashtra now stands at 13,370. This includes the 4,165 from the latest batch, as well as candidates from the previous four exams.

MahaRERA has made it mandatory for new real estate agents, as well as those seeking renewal, to undergo training and get certified. This move aims to ensure that agents in the sector are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills.

Approximately 47,000 agents are registered with MahaRERA in Maharashtra. However, registrations of 13,785 agents got cancelled due to non-renewal. Furthermore, over 20,000 agents who failed to meet the mandatory requirements of training and certification by December 31 had their registrations suspended by April-end. These agents are prohibited from transacting in the sector until they meet the specified conditions.
