Mahesh Babu Faces Legal Notice Over Real Estate Endorsement: Report
Real Estate News:Tollywood actor Mahesh Babu has found himself in legal hot water over his past endorsement of a real estate company. The actor, known for his numerous brand associations, has reportedly been served legal notices by the Ranga Reddy District Consumer Commission in Telangana.

As reported by the Deccan Chronicle, a Hyderabad-based doctor filed a complaint against Mahesh Babu and Sai Surya Developers, alleging she was cheated out of Rs 34.8 lakh after buying plots that allegedly did not exist. The Guntur Kaaram actor has been named as the third respondent, accused of endorsing the developer and influencing buyers through misleading promotions.

The complaint claims that Mahesh Babu’s endorsement of Sai Surya Developers helped build trust among customers. Neither Mahesh Babu nor his team has commented on the matter as yet.

Back in April 2025, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had also questioned the actor as part of a money laundering investigation involving Sai Surya Developers and the Surana Group. According to a PTI report, the firm’s owner, Kancharla Satish Chandra Gupta, was already under investigation for defaulting on a major project called Green Meadows. At that time, authorities had clarified that Mahesh was not an accused and appeared unaware of any wrongdoing by the company, having seemingly endorsed the project in good faith.

Mahesh Babu has a history of legal controversies. During the release of Arjun in 2004, Mahesh Babu and his fans allegedly forcibly entered video stores in Warangal to protest the sale of pirated CDs. The actor faced charges under Indian Penal Code sections for trespass, mischief, and kidnapping. He surrendered in September 2004, appeared in court in April 2006, and was ultimately acquitted in July 2006.

In 2017, novelist Sarath Chandra (RD Wilson) accused the creators of Srimanthudu of lifting his 2012 story Chachenta Prema without permission, filing cases in 2017. The Telangana High Court dismissed the claims against Mahesh Babu, though it allowed the suit against director Koratala Siva to proceed. In January 2024, the Supreme Court upheld that decision.

Mahesh Babu, who primarily works in Telugu films, made his debut as a lead actor with Rajakumarudu (1999) and rose to fame with hits like Murari (2001), Okkadu (2003), Pokiri (2006), and Dookudu (2011). Over the years, he has delivered several blockbusters, often balancing action-packed entertainers with socially themed films like Srimanthudu (2015) and Bharat Ane Nenu (2018). His recent releases include Maharshi (2019), Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022), and his latest film, Guntur Kaaram (2024). Next, he will be seen in SSMB 28, directed by SS Rajamouli, co-starring Priyanka Chopra.

Despite the current legal issues, Mahesh Babu remains a significant figure in the Telugu film industry, known for his versatile acting skills and commitment to both commercial and socially relevant projects.
