Mankhurd Land Clearance: 6-Acre Parcel Worth Rs 250 Crore Freed

By GeoSquare News Desk · Published 2026-10-28

In a coordinated demolition drive, Mumbai authorities have cleared illegal structures spread across a six-acre land parcel in Mankhurd. The property, entangled in a decades-old revenue dispute, is estimated to be worth around Rs 250 crore.

Decades-old dispute resolved

The land, originally associated with the Children's Aid Society, had been occupied unlawfully for years. Following sustained administrative action and legal clarity, the encroachments have now been removed, paving the way for the land's rightful use.

What it means for property buyers

With the parcel now free of illegal constructions, the Mankhurd locality is likely to see renewed interest from developers and investors. The clearance could also ease infrastructure planning and open up development opportunities in the eastern suburbs.
