MHADA Lottery 2026 Pune Results Announced: 4,186 Affordable Housing Units Up for Grabs
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has conducted and announced the results of its much-awaited Pune Board housing lottery 2026, offering 4,186 affordable homes across multiple districts in western Maharashtra. The lottery generated an overwhelming response, with more than 2.15 lakh applicants completing the earnest money deposit process and becoming eligible for the lottery. This high participation once again highlighted the strong demand for affordable housing options in Pune and surrounding regions where property prices have steadily risen.
The computerised draw was held on February 10, bringing relief and clarity to over two lakh applicants who had been waiting for months. The draw was conducted at the Sharadchandra Pawar Auditorium in the Pune Zilla Parishad complex at noon and was overseen by senior officials of the Pune Housing and Area Development Board. MHADA Vice President and CEO Sanjeev Jaiswal attended the proceedings via video conferencing, ensuring transparency in the process.
The lottery covered housing units located across Pune city, Pimpri-Chinchwad, the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) jurisdiction, as well as nearby districts such as Solapur, Kolhapur, and Sangli. These locations have been targeted to widen access to affordable homes beyond the urban core and accommodate growing demand from middle- and lower-income households.
Of the 4,186 units on offer, 3,322 flats were allotted under the 20% Inclusive Housing Scheme, aimed at promoting mixed-income residential development, while 864 homes were made available under the 15% Social Housing Scheme, which focuses on economically weaker sections and integrated housing initiatives. MHADA had first published the advertisement for the scheme in September 2025, kicking off registrations and applications that ultimately saw hundreds of thousands of aspiring homeowners participate.
The lottery was earlier delayed due to technical and administrative processes, including scrutiny of applications and finalisation of eligible lists, which extended the wait for applicants. According to reports, the results of the lucky draw have now been made available online, allowing participants to check the winners’ list and waiting list through official channels.
The draw was also streamed publicly to ensure transparency and enable applicants across Maharashtra to track the allocation process in real time. The MHADA Pune lottery is regarded as one of the largest affordable housing initiatives in the region this year, reflecting the state government’s continued push to expand access to subsidised housing. With demand for cost-effective homes rising sharply across the Pune metropolitan region, the scheme is expected to provide significant relief to thousands of families seeking ownership opportunities at controlled prices.
For successful applicants, the next steps typically involve document verification, payment schedules, and possession timelines, while non-winners may be placed on waiting lists or receive refunds as per MHADA’s rules. The authority is expected to publish detailed instructions for beneficiaries through its official website and communication channels.
