Real Estate Pune:Microsoft Corporation (India) Private Limited has made a substantial investment of Rs 519.72 crore in Pune, one of India's most prominent IT hubs. The company has been increasingly investing in India's commercial real estate market, with a focus on assets such as data centers, development centers, and flexible office spaces.

Microsoft has acquired 66,414.5 square meters (16.4 acres) of prime land in Hinjewadi, Pune, as per the registration document reviewed by Square Yards. The land purchase from Indo Global Infotech City LLP was documented in August 2024, with a registration charge of Rs. 30,000 and stamp duty of Rs. 31.18 crore.

This is not Microsoft's first major land purchase in India. In 2022, the company bought a 25-acre plot for Rs. 328 crore in Pimpri-Chinchiwad. Earlier this year, Microsoft also acquired 48 acres of land for Rs. 267 crore in Hyderabad. These deals are part of Microsoft's efforts to expand its presence in India, particularly in its data center operations.

Microsoft's data centers are already located in Mumbai, Chennai, and Pune, and the company is strengthening its presence across pivotal markets.
