The PM Surya Ghar scheme is a government initiative that offers financial assistance to real estate developers to integrate renewable energy and energy-efficient technologies in residential projects.
Real estate developers and promoters who are developing new residential projects with a minimum of 50 units, located in notified areas under the Smart Cities Mission or AMRUT, and meeting the specified energy efficiency and sustainability standards are eligible to apply for CFA.
Key conditions include project eligibility, compliance with energy efficiency standards, incorporation of sustainability measures, financial compliance, and a detailed application process.
Developers can receive up to 30% of the project cost as CFA, with a maximum limit of INR 2 crore per project.
Developers can apply for CFA through the MNRE's official portal. The application must include all relevant documents and reports as specified in the guidelines, and the MNRE may conduct site visits to verify compliance.
