Real estate developers and promoters who are developing new residential projects with a minimum of 50 units, located in notified areas under the Smart Cities Mission or AMRUT, and meeting the specified energy efficiency and sustainability standards are eligible to apply for CFA.

Developers can receive up to 30% of the project cost as CFA, with a maximum limit of INR 2 crore per project.
