The 73-year-old investor, Chunnilal Vardhichand Shah, was defrauded of ₹26.54 crore by Shamik Enterprises Ltd.
The directors of Shamik Enterprises Ltd. accused in this case are Haresh Sakalchand Hirani, Suresh Pratapchand Hirani, and Sandip Sakalchand Hirani.
The investor was promised four residential flats in the Hirani Villa project located in Vile Parle, Mumbai, in return for his investment.
The investor initially refrained from filing a complaint due to personal and familial ties with the accused directors.
The case was registered under Sections 406, 409, 420, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
