Mumbai Police Arrest Two Men for Molesting and Raping Minors in Andheri and Bandra
Real Estate News:The Mumbai police have arrested two accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in two separate incidents of molestation and rape of minor girls in the western suburbs. Both incidents took place on Saturday, and the accused were arrested on the same day.

In the first incident, the MIDC police arrested a 56-year-old real estate agent for allegedly molesting two girls aged seven and eight years in Andheri. The accused was produced in court on Sunday and remanded in police custody.

The incident occurred on Saturday around 3:30 PM when the accused came to the victim’s complex to show flats to his customer for rent. As he was leaving the building, he spotted both the girls playing in the complex and lured them with chocolates. He then touched them inappropriately and kissed one of the victims, which made her angry. Both girls informed their parents about the incident, said a police officer.

After the incident, the residents became agitated, and the victim’s mother approached the MIDC police station. The police recorded the statement of the victim’s mother and registered a case against the accused under the POCSO Act. The accused, who lives in the Andheri area, was called to the police station and arrested.

In the second incident that took place in the Bandra area, the Nirmal Nagar police arrested a 21-year-old man for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl. The incident occurred on Saturday when the girl was heading home around 8 PM. While she was passing through an isolated area, the accused stopped her, threatened her, and raped her, according to a police officer from the Nirmal Nagar police station.

The police said the accused works as a salesman and lives in the same vicinity as the victim. The victim narrated the incident to her parents, and once they approached the police station, an FIR was registered. The accused has been arrested and is currently in police custody.

The POCSO Act is designed to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation. It provides for severe penalties for offenders and ensures the rights of the child are protected during the legal process. The swift action by the Mumbai police in both cases highlights the importance of community vigilance and the need for stringent laws to protect vulnerable children.
