Mumbai Real Estate Agents Accused of Robbing Elderly Woman and Deaf-Mute Maid
Real Estate News:In a shocking case of daylight robbery, the Mumbai Police on Friday apprehended two real estate agents for allegedly gagging and tying up an 80-year-old woman and her deaf-mute maid at their Vile Parle residence.
The duo, identified as Shweta Ladge, 35, from Andheri, and Babu Sindal, 27, from Versova, fled with cash and valuables worth over Rs 8 lakh on Sunday, January 4, according to the police.
They are currently on the lookout for a third accomplice who was also involved in the crime.

The crime took place around 12 30 PM when the elderly woman and her maid were alone in the house.
Shweta Ladge, who had a history of supplying maids to the family, knew their schedule well.
CCTV footage revealed that Ladge visited the building multiple times on the day of the robbery.
Senior Inspector Laxmikant Salunkhe from Unit VIII stated that the women were set free when the family returned home later that afternoon.

During the interrogation led by DCP Vishal Thakur, Shweta Ladge reportedly broke down and confessed to her involvement in the crime.
She had confirmed earlier in the day that the two women were alone, making it easier for the robbers to carry out their plan.
Babu Sindal allegedly recruited another individual to assist in the robbery.

The robbery, which occurred in broad daylight, was a serious incident.
The Crime Branch and local police teams worked tirelessly to capture the culprits.
DCP Vishal Thakur emphasized the seriousness of the crime and the efforts made by the police to ensure the safety of the victims.
The arrested individuals have been handed over to the local police station for further investigation.
