Real Estate Maharashtra:Mumbai's real estate market is expected to register 1,41,302 property registrations in the calendar year 2024, a notable 11% increase from the 1,26,937 properties registered in 2023, according to data from the Inspector General of Registration and Controller of Stamps of Maharashtra.

The revenue generated from property registrations, mainly through stamp duty, has also seen a significant boost, rising to ₹12,161 crore, a 12% increase from ₹10,871 crore in 2023.

According to Knight Frank India, a leading real estate consultancy, residential units make up 80% of the total registrations, while non-residential assets account for the remaining 20%.
