The SRA redevelopment scheme is a program in Mumbai where old cooperative housing societies are redeveloped into modern residential complexes, often with the involvement of private developers.
The complainant is Anil Kochunni Mambily, a 55-year-old resident of Vaishnavi Co-operative Housing Society in Borivali West.
The accused are alleged to have duped homebuyers of approximately Rs. 32 crore.
The accused failed to disclose information regarding the complainant’s flat booking to the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) after Right Biltech Pvt. Ltd. went into insolvency proceedings.
The case is being investigated by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police, with Sub-Inspector Tharat designated as the investigating officer.
