The spot where the body was discovered is approximately 2km away from the site where Sheena Bora's purported remains were found in 2015.

The two agents, Sumit Jain (38) and Amir Khanjada (42), had left Nerul on Wednesday night to attend a meeting in Raigad. However, their car was found abandoned near the Mumbai-Pune Expressway with bloodstains, signs of gunshots, and two bullets. The police are still searching for Khanjada.

Their abandoned car was found in a suspicious condition near Sahara Helipad Road, around 100 feet off the Mumbai-bound carriageway of the Expressway on Thursday. Khopoli police started an inquiry after getting information about the car.

However, the police team found Jain's body about 15km away from the spot where the car was abandoned. The investigating team found two bullets from the car.
