Real Estate:NBCC (India) Limited, a prominent government-owned construction company under India's Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, has taken a significant step towards international expansion. The company has announced the incorporation of NBCC Overseas Real Estate LLC as a wholly-owned subsidiary in Dubai Mainland, UAE. This newly formed entity has a nominal and paid-up capital of AED 10,00,000 and will operate in the real estate industry, specifically focusing on buying and selling real estate in Dubai.

The incorporation, which makes NBCC Overseas Real Estate LLC a related party to NBCC (India) Limited, received reiteration of approval from the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) on February 24, 2025. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Overseas Direct Investment (ODI) approval is currently awaited. NBCC (India) Limited has acquired 100% of the equity share capital through a cash subscription at face value.

Earlier, the company was awarded a significant renovation project valued at approximately Rs 95.66 crore (excluding GST) for the Sushma Swaraj Institute of Foreign Service in New Delhi. This work order, received from the Ministry of External Affairs, underscores NBCC's continued role in undertaking important infrastructure and renovation projects for government institutions.

Their project management consultancy (PMC) arm tackles civil construction projects for various sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, and educational institutions. In its nine-month results, the net sales increased by 16 per cent to Rs 7,429.84 crore and the net profit increased by 37 per cent to Rs 374.76 crore in 9MFY25 over 9MFY24.

The company's order book as of December 31, 2024, stands at Rs 1,00,000 crore. As of March 2025, the President of India owns a 61.75 per cent stake and the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) owns a 5.11 per cent stake in the company. The stock is up by 60 per cent from its 52-week low of Rs 70.82 per share.
