Baburao Chandere is a National Congress Party (NCP) leader and a former standing committee chairman of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
Chandere allegedly trespassed on Raundal's property, leading to an argument that escalated into a physical altercation where Chandere body slammed Raundal, causing him to fall to the ground.
Chandere has been booked for assault, criminal intimidation, and other offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita provisions.
NCP leader and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar condemned the incident and stated that the party does not tolerate such behavior. He tried to reach out to Chandere for an explanation but was unable to do so.
The incident has tarnished the NCP's image and raised questions about the conduct of its leaders. It has also sparked widespread outrage and calls for accountability from public figures.
