New Federation ODFED Takes Over Odisha’s Real Estate Sector
Real Estate:Bhubaneswar: In a significant milestone for Odisha's real estate sector, leading developers and stakeholders of the erstwhile CREDAI Bhubaneswar Foundation have now voluntarily withdrawn. This move was prompted by the central CREDAI's lack of action against unethical operators and its preference for retaining only RERA-registered builders. As a result, these developers have formed a new body, the Odisha Developers’ Federation (ODFED), aiming to continue their commitment to ethical practices and win the confidence of property buyers in the state.

Surprisingly, all the members of the new body have extensive experience in the field and a track record of excellent performance over the past three and a half decades. They have been recognized as pioneers under the previous associations REDA, AFORD, and CREDAI Bhubaneswar Foundation.

The official launch of the Odisha Developers’ Federation was marked by a special ceremony held at Hotel Sandy’s Tower in Bhubaneswar. The event was attended by prominent industry leaders, government officials, architects, urban planners, and members of the media. One of the highlights of the event was the unveiling of the Federation’s official logo, symbolizing unity, innovation, and a shared vision for Odisha’s urban transformation. The logo reflects the Federation’s core values of ethical practice, commitment to better service for home buyers, and integrity.

Speaking at the launch, Pradipta Kumar Biswasroy, President of ODFED, said, “This Federation is virtually a reincarnation of CREDAI Bhubaneswar Foundation, a vibrant platform for developers to come together, collaborate, and contribute meaningfully to the state’s growth. With Odisha poised for rapid urbanization and investment, ODFED will play a vital role in shaping its future real estate landscape.”

Umesh Patnaik, Secretary of ODFED, added, “The Odisha Developers’ Federation is poised to become a key stakeholder in the state’s development dialogue. The Federation will also host regular industry events, knowledge sessions, and public-private engagements to ensure inclusive and progressive growth.”

Leading real estate developers in Odisha, including Z Estate, Sri Jagannath Promotors & Builders, Utkal Builders, Harshpriya Construction Pvt. Ltd., and others, have joined the Odisha Developers’ Federation. On this occasion, the new governing body of the association was announced:

Governing Body of ODFED:
- Pradipta Kumar Biswasroy - President
- Umesh Patnaik - Secretary
- Suryakanta Nanda - Vice President
- Parthajeet Patnaik - Vice President
- Jitendra Kumar Patra - Joint Secretary
- Satyajyoti Mohanty - Joint Secretary
- Siddharth Mohapatra - Treasurer

The formation of ODFED marks a new chapter in Odisha’s real estate sector, emphasizing transparency, ethical practices, and the promotion of sustainable development.
