The new parking policy was formally adopted by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) on 30 December 2024.
Properties larger than 1,500 sq ft must provide two four-wheeler and one two-wheeler parking spaces, with an additional slot for every 500 sq ft of extra space.
At least 5% of the total parking area in residential complexes must be reserved for visitors.
Properties exceeding 50% of the required parking capacity will be charged a fee equivalent to 10% of the land rate as per the Annual Statement of Rates (ASR).
