A Completion Certificate (CC) is a document issued by the local authorities to certify that a building has been constructed according to the approved plans and meets all necessary safety and regulatory standards.
An Occupancy Certificate (OC) is a document issued by the local authorities to certify that a building is ready for occupation and meets all safety and regulatory requirements.
CC and OC are mandatory in Odisha to ensure that all constructions adhere to approved plans and meet safety and regulatory standards, protecting the interests of homebuyers and the quality of constructions.
If a building does not meet the approved plans, the issuance of the Completion Certificate (CC) or Occupancy Certificate (OC) will be deferred, and the builder may face legal consequences until the deviations are rectified.
Essential services such as electricity, water, and sewerage will only be activated after the Completion Certificate (CC) or Occupancy Certificate (OC) is granted, ensuring that the building meets all necessary standards.
