Osmanabad, officially known as Dharashiv, is a city and municipal council in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Located in the Marathwada region, it serves as the administrative headquarters of the Dharashiv district.Historically, the region was part of the Hyderabad State and was named after Mir Osman Ali Khan, the last Nizam of Hyderabad. However, it was officially renamed Dharashiv in February 2023, drawing its name from the ancient Dharashiv Caves located nearby.
