Patiala Tragedy: Real Estate Dealer Commits Triple Murder-Suicide
Real Estate News:Patiala: A shocking incident has rocked the Patiala district in Punjab, where a man allegedly shot dead his wife and teenage son before ending his own life on Sunday. The tragic event took place near Changera village on Banur-Tepla road. The deceased have been identified as 45-year-old Sandeep Singh Rajpal, his wife Mandeep Kaur (42), and their 15-year-old son Abhay.

According to a report by The Times of India, the bodies of the three victims were found inside a Fortuner SUV parked near some fields. Workers installing a tubewell in the area informed the police after they discovered the bodies inside the vehicle.

Rajpal had been living with his wife and son in Emaar, Sector 109, Mohali for the past six to seven years. He was reportedly involved in real estate dealings. Upon receiving the information, senior police officers rushed to the scene and began an investigation. A forensic science laboratory (FSL) team was also dispatched to the crime scene.

Upon arrival, the police found the SUV still running with the air conditioning on and its doors closed. Rajpal was seated in the driver's seat, his wife in the passenger seat, and their son in the back. The police recovered a pistol from Rajpal's hands, as reported by The Times of India.

Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears that Rajpal shot his wife and son before taking his own life. However, the police are also exploring other angles to determine the motive. 'It appears to be a suicide case, but the motive is still unknown. We are waiting for further inputs from the post-mortem and statements from family members,' said DSP Manjit Singh, as reported by the media.

It is also noted that Rajpal's son, Abhay, was reportedly not in sound mental health, which could have been a contributing factor. One of Rajpal's relatives told the media that he had spoken to him just a week ago and did not notice any signs of disturbance or distress.

The tragic incident has left the community in shock, and the police are working diligently to piece together the events leading up to the murders and suicide. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge as the post-mortem and other forensic tests are completed.
