PM Modi Launches Development Projects Worth Rs 22,600 Crore in Poll-Bound Maharashtra

PM Modi Launches Development Projects Worth Rs 22,600 Crore in Poll-Bound Maharashtra
Real Estate Maharashtra:Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be launching a plethora of development projects worth over Rs 22,600 crore in the poll-bound state of Maharashtra. The projects are aimed at improving the lives of citizens, promoting economic growth, and enhancing the state's infrastructure.

During his visit to Pune, the Prime Minister will flag off a Metro train, marking the completion of the Pune Metro Rail Project (Phase-1). The underground section between District Court to Swargate has been built at a cost of around Rs 1,810 crore. He will also lay the foundation stone for the Swargate-Katraj extension of Pune Metro Phase-1, which will be developed at a cost of around Rs 2,950 crore.

In line with his commitment to making India self-reliant in the field of supercomputing technology, Modi will dedicate three PARAM Rudra Supercomputers worth around Rs 130 crore to the nation. These supercomputers have been developed indigenously under the National Supercomputing Mission (NSM) and will be deployed in Pune, Delhi, and Kolkata to facilitate pioneering scientific research.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate a high-performance computing (HPC) system tailored for weather and climate research, which represents an investment of Rs 850 crore. This project will significantly enhance India's computational capabilities for meteorological applications.

In addition to these projects, Modi will launch various initiatives of the petroleum and natural gas sector worth Rs 10,400 crore. These initiatives will focus on energy, infrastructure, safety, and convenience of truck and cab drivers, cleaner mobility, and a sustainable future.

To enable ease of driving, the Prime Minister will launch way side amenities for truck drivers at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra, Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab, Songadh in Gujarat, and Belagavi and Bangalore Rural in Karnataka. These amenities will provide affordable boarding and lodging facilities, clean toilets, safe parking space, cooking area, WiFi, and Gym for truckers and cab drivers during their long journeys.

Furthermore, Modi will inaugurate the Bidkin Industrial Area, a transformative project covering an expansive 7,855 acres under the National Industrial Corridor Development Program of the government of India. The project holds immense potential as a vibrant economic hub in the Marathwada region and has been approved by the Central government with an overall project cost of over Rs 6,400 crore for development in three phases.

The Prime Minister's visit to Maharashtra is seen as a significant boost to the state's development and a testament to the government's commitment to improving the lives of its citizens.
