The total area of land being secured for the Phule memorials is 5,320 sqm, which is nearly 1.5 acres.
Landowners will receive cash compensation at twice the ready reckoner rate after deducting construction costs, or they may opt for PMC flats at fixed rates.
Tenants will be shifted to PMC-owned housing units at a nominal rent per month.
The land being acquired for the Phule memorials project is valued at ₹45 crore.
