Prestige Group Set to Unveil ₹42,000 Crore Housing Projects in FY26
Real Estate:Prestige Estates Projects Ltd, one of India's leading real estate developers, is gearing up for an ambitious expansion in the fiscal year 2026. The company plans to launch 25 residential projects across major cities, with a combined gross development value of more than ₹42,000 crore. This strategic move is aimed at capitalizing on the strong consumer demand in the housing market.

According to the company's latest investor presentation, Bengaluru-based Prestige Estates will roll out a total of 25 residential projects, encompassing 44.80 million square feet of developable area. These projects are set to be launched in key cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, and Goa. The total estimated gross development value for these projects is ₹42,120 crore.

The company faced challenges in the previous fiscal year, with delays in regulatory approvals affecting the number of projects launched and subsequent sales bookings. In 2024-25, Prestige Estates launched 26.28 million square feet of projects, with a combined gross development value of ₹26,222.8 crore. However, sales bookings or pre-sales were impacted, declining by 19% to ₹17,023.1 crore. The company had set a target of ₹24,000 crore in sales bookings for the fiscal year but fell short due to deferred launches and approval delays.

Despite these setbacks, Prestige Estates saw a significant increase in average realizations per square foot. The average realization for apartments, villas, and commercial products rose to ₹14,113 per square foot, marking a 36% increase year-on-year. Plot sale realizations also improved, rising to ₹7,167 per square foot, a 50% increase compared to the previous year.

On the financial front, Prestige Estates reported a net profit of ₹467.5 crore in the 2024-25 fiscal year, a sharp decline from ₹1,374.1 crore in the preceding year. Total income also decreased to ₹7,735.5 crore in the last fiscal year, down from ₹9,425.3 crore in the 2023-24 fiscal.

Prestige Group has a track record of developing more than 300 projects and is currently constructing a large number of properties across major states in India. The company's strategic expansion in FY26 is expected to boost its market presence and financial performance, aligning with the growing demand for quality housing solutions in the country.

With a focus on delivering high-quality residential projects and a commitment to customer satisfaction, Prestige Group is well-positioned to capitalize on the robust housing market trends. The company's ambitious plans for the upcoming fiscal year reflect its confidence in the market and its dedication to meeting the evolving needs of homebuyers across India.
