Office assets received the highest PE investments at USD 0.6 billion, or 39% of total inflows, followed by data centres at 38%. The residential segment accounted for 20% of the investments.
PE inflows have fluctuated over the years, with a peak of USD 6.6 billion in 2020. In 2025, the inflows have remained broadly stable at USD 3.9 billion for the January-September period.
The decline in PE investment suggests a moderation in institutional investments since the 2020 peak, but it also indicates that India remains a stable and appealing long-term real estate investment destination.
